CROSSTRAINING

Most waterskiers engage in other sports beside waterskiing. There are various reasons for doing this. Some cross training is to increase overall fitness which helps increase performance. Mountain and Road Bikes are popular cross training sports during waterski season. The Ironman Competition highlights this combination of activities. Using Dry Suits to protect against cold water, the waterski season can be extended from March until late October. But from November until March the water generally gets too hard for waterskiing. During these months snow skiing and snow boarding are popular activities.
